During each stroke technique clinic swimmers take part in two pool sessions, two video and lecture sessions, and two land-based sessions working on core stability, training principles, and flexibility. All sessions are technique focussed to give you the maximum opportunity to make real improvements to your technique by the end of the day. The pool sessions, led by a GB Olympic Coach, involve the detailed breakdown of swimming techniques into the fundamental components that swimmers must perform correctly in order to swim fast. Using a carefully structured progression of drills and skills based on the essential principles of aquatic propulsion, swimmers will be coached to build up the whole skill to make real improvements in their technique. We run stroke clinics throughout the year: details are kept up to date on our web site and you can download application forms for each clinic as they become available. Numbers are limited and clinics fill up quickly so apply early to avoid disappointment. |
