OUREXPERIENCE For over twenty years, SWIMSKILLS have been providing high quality clinics and courses to help swimmers learn how to improve their swimming techniques, to 'train smart', and to develop the mental conditioning skills necessary to convert the hard work of training into performance under pressure.
Our Starts & Turns clinic are unique in this country and provide swimmers an exclusive opportunity to practice their starts and turns in an optimal learning environment, where the techniques are broken into their fundamental components and built up in a structured manner to ensure that swimmers make noticable improvements during the day!

During SWIMSKILLS Starts and Turns technique clinics you will take part in two pool sessions, two video and lecture sessions, and two land-based sessions working on core stability, agility, and flexibility. All sessions are technique focussed to give each swimmer the maximum opportunity to make real improvements to their starting and turning techniques by the end of the day. The pool sessions, led by a GB Olympic Coach, involve the detailed breakdown of starting and turning techniques into the fundamental components that swimmers must perform correctly in order to start and turn quickly. Using a carefully structured progression of drills and skills based on the essential principles of aquatic propulsion, swimmers will be coached to build up all of the required skills to make noticeable improvements in their starts and turns. We run stroke clinics throughout the year: details are kept up to date on our web site and you can download application forms for each clinic as they become available. Numbers are limited and clinics fill up quickly so apply early to avoid disappointment. |
